The Role


We are seeking a commercially focused, digitally native CEO to lead Nomad Africa into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will have built or led a successful B2C digital brand, with proven experience owning a P&L, scaling revenue, and turning content into commerce.

You will drive Nomad’s evolution from a respected storytelling platform into a powerhouse B2C business — combining our media, community, and travel offerings into a scalable, data-driven digital brand. You must have a deep understanding of international (especially Western) consumer tastes, digital marketing mechanics, and audience-led brand building. This is a role for a hands-on, results-oriented leader ready to lead from the front.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Growth & Commercialization

  • Define and execute a growth strategy that transforms Nomad into a high-performing digital business.

  • Drive monetization of digital content, brand partnerships, travel products, and community assets.

  • Own the company’s P&L and ensure profitable, scalable growth across multiple revenue streams.

Digital Brand & Content Leadership

  • Elevate Nomad’s positioning as a leading digital travel and lifestyle brand for global audiences.

  • Build and commercialize content engines that serve both engagement and revenue (e.g., affiliate, subscriptions, sponsorships, digital products).

  • Oversee the evolution of Nomad’s digital platforms, CRM, and data infrastructure to support scalable D2C marketing.

Marketing & Audience Development

  • Lead global digital marketing strategy across paid, organic, influencer, and partnership channels.

  • Grow and engage a loyal, high-value international audience, especially in key Western markets (US, UK, Europe).

  • Champion a content-led approach to customer acquisition, community engagement, and lifetime value.

Team Leadership & Execution

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performance, cross-functional team across marketing, content, product, and commercial.

  • Instill a culture of ownership, agility, and experimentation.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Building

  • Develop and scale strategic partnerships with brands, media outlets, travel operators, and content creators.

  • Build a robust ecosystem around the Nomad brand — including retreats, events, merchandise, and co-branded experiences.

Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years in B2C leadership roles, with at least 3–5 years at the executive level (CEO/GM/COO/Head of Growth).

  • Strong track record of building or scaling a content-heavy digital brand with direct consumer monetization.

  • Owned a P&L and successfully scaled revenue through content, e-commerce, DTC, or marketplace models.

  • Deep experience with digital growth strategies: CRM, performance marketing, SEO, community building, influencer marketing, and analytics.

  • Familiarity with Western consumer markets (especially US/UK/Europe) — ideally having marketed or sold to them directly.

  • Commercially driven with creative flair — combines data-savviness with brand sensitivity.

  • Fast-moving, hands-on operator who thrives in startup and entrepreneurial environments.

  • Relentlessly curious, strategic, and customer-obsessed.

Confident communicator and storyteller, comfortable representing the brand to partners, press, and investors.
