The Client


Q360 is a fast-growing motor vehicle valuation and accident assessment company based in Nairobi, pioneering the future of vehicle reporting in East Africa. We are the first in the region to successfully integrate AI-powered digital valuations and remote inspections. Our commitment is to deliver fast, accurate, and transparent reports to a diverse client base, including insurers, brokers, banks, fleets, and vehicle owners.

We are expanding rapidly and seeking a high-performing, sales-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth, forge key partnerships, and cement Q360's position as the market leader.


The Role


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers, banks, corporates, and automotive partners, and expanding the adoption of our AI-based valuation solutions.

This is a hands-on, targets-focused role that requires deep knowledge of the insurance and automotive ecosystem and the ability to drive consistent pipeline generation and deal closure.


Key Responsibilities


1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across insurers, brokers, banks, and fleets.

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets (KPIs).

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and account penetration strategies to secure high-value contracts.

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with brokers, agents and banks.

  • Present Q360's AI solutions compellingly to senior executives, underwriting teams, and claims managers.

  • Develop a deep understanding of client processes to position our AI valuation solutions as cost-effective and faster alternatives to traditional methods.

  • Support seamless client onboarding, training, and solution rollouts.

3. Market Development & Partnerships

  • Drive the adoption of AI-driven inspection and valuation solutions in the Kenyan automotive and financial ecosystems.

  • Conduct thorough market intelligence to stay ahead of trends, competitor products, and pricing.

  • Actively build strategic partnerships with motor dealers, assessors, and other service providers to expand Q360's market reach.

4. Product & Operations Collaboration

  • Work closely with the technology and operations teams to tailor solutions and ensure successful client integration.

  • Provide critical market feedback to improve platform features, reporting templates, and the underlying AI analysis tools.


Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Business Development or B2B Sales, specifically within motor valuations, insurance, automotive, or related financial fields in East Africa.

  • Track Record: Strong, demonstrated history of closing deals and consistently hitting aggressive sales targets.

  • Industry Expertise: Deep practical understanding of insurance processes (underwriting, claims, fleets) or the motor dealer/asset finance ecosystem.

  • Tech Passion: Demonstrated passion for technology, AI, and digital transformation and the ability to articulate complex technical value propositions simply.

  • Skills:  Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Mindset: Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Bonus:  A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
