The Client


Fedha Group is an established, real estate development, investment, and facility management conglomerate headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Backed by over 25 years of institutional experience in property acquisition, project execution, and asset management, the Group operates across commercial, residential, and high-end hospitality sectors. Fedha Group's diversified portfolio includes key commercial landmarks such as Fedha Towers and Fedha Plaza, residential complexes, and premier aparthotel developments. Their prominent hospitality assets encompass the Executive Residency by Best Western Nairobi (a branded 4-star property), Fedha Residences and Capital M Residences (a modern mixed-use long-stay and short-stay development on Muthithi Road, Westlands).


The Role


Reporting to the Executive Director; The Hospitality Manager is a commercially driven and operationally excellent business leader tasked with bringing short-stay operations in-house. Responsible for day-to-day hospitality management, guest experience, and revenue generation, this role combines boutique hotel operational rigor with Superhost-level agility to build a premium, scalable in-house brand.


Key Responsibilities


1. Hospitality Operations Management & In-House Transition

  • Take direct ownership of day-to-day short-stay operations, transitioning short-let units from third-party management into full internal control.

  • Primary daily site focus at Capital M Residences, while extending high-level hospitality standards and support across the broader group assets.

  • Oversee on-site operations teams, housekeeping, guest relations, and security clearance to ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.

  • Collaborate effectively with backend facilities management, property management, and maintenance teams to ensure total unit operational readiness.

  • Develop and enforce hospitality SOPs, service checklists, and quality assurance controls.

2. Revenue, Commercial & P&L Ownership

  • Hold direct responsibility for operational costs (5–10% P&L cost impact) and revenue optimization across short-stay portfolios.

  • Implement dynamic pricing strategies, yield management, and competitor benchmarks (e.g., Traynum) to maximize occupancy and revenue.

  • Manage and optimize OTA platform channels, including Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia.

  • Track booking trends, cancellation rates, conversion performance, and direct booking initiatives.

3. Guest Experience & Brand Elevation

  • Deliver high-end boutique hospitality standards across all short-term units, driving high review ratings and achieving Airbnb Superhost standards.

  • Ensure consistent, high-energy service touchpoints across security, front-line staff, and housekeeping teams.

  • Handle guest inquiries, service escalations, and service recovery swiftly and professionally.

4. Team Leadership & Culture

  • Direct, mentor, and supervise on-site operational staff, contractors, and service providers.

  • Cultivate an outgoing, guest-centric, accountable, and collaborative team culture aligned with group values.


Key Deliverables & Success Metrics


1. Commercial & Financial Metrics

  • Increase in overall occupancy rates and portfolio revenue.

  • Optimized P&L performance (effective cost management within 5–10% scope and maximum yield).

  • Growth in repeat bookings and direct booking conversions.

 2. Guest Experience & Quality Metrics

  • Achievement and sustained maintenance of Airbnb Superhost status.

  • Consistently positive guest review ratings across all OTA channels.

  • Reduction in service complaints and seamless coordination of guest transport and security processes.

3. Operational Metrics

  • Successful, smooth transition from third-party management to in-house operations.

  • High compliance with SOPs and rapid issue-resolution turnaround times.


Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in hospitality operations management.

  • At least 2 years of direct P&L management/revenue responsibility.

  • Experience in boutique hotel management, serviced apartments, or high-volume premium Airbnb / short-stay operations. Strong Airbnb Superhost experience is a key alternative profile.

  • Strong grasp of revenue management, yield pricing, dynamic listing platforms, and operational dashboards.

  • Ability to work across matrix teams (facilities, maintenance, property management, executive leadership).

  • Interpersonal Fit: Outgoing, proactive, adaptable, and highly focused on guest satisfaction.

  • Kenyan local with prior international/diaspora hospitality experience is preferred (e.g., Dubai/UAE hospitality market experience is highly desirable).
